Yash Raj Films is putting lots of hope in Bachna Ae Haseeno, their forthcoming film. One of the best and foremost production houses in India’s film industry Bollywood has of late starved of hits.
It seems they did not have any hits in ages. The last time, a Yash Raj movie scored a big success at the box office was Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Chak De India’.
Since then it is a series of flops and flops, notwithstanding the star cast, budget or the timings.
You name any film after Chak De India! And all of those films including big budget film Tashan and Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic have bombed at the box office.
Be it Laga Chunri Mein Aag De, Aaja Nachle, Tashan or Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic all have fared very poorly at the box office. Yash Raj had great hopes from Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic, but it too did very poorly at the box office.
Now they are pinning their hopes on their forthcoming film Bachna Ae Haseeno. The film has in lead roles real life lovers, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, as well as, Bipasha Basu and Minisha Lamba.
The film has some of the hottest and newest stars in Indian film industry, Bollywood, including Ranbir Kapoor of Sawariyan fame, Deepika Padukone of Om Shanti Om, Bipasha Basu and Minishsa Lamba.
The film is directed by Siddharth Anand who earlier directed Salaam Namaste (2005) and Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007).
